I want to express my gratitude to President Calvin Carter for selecting me as the future United States Attorney General and to the United States Senate for ratifying my appointment. It is a great honor to be given this opportunity. I am dedicated to upholding our principles.

The Department of Justice is committed to providing resources and tools to our local, state, and federal officials . The DOJ remands ready to support all partners in Justice to combat crime.

The DOJ, in conjunction with the United States Capital Police and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, is working to investigate the recent attack. We are working with all justice partners to ensure a transparent and equitable investigation.

We will ensure those individuals who committed these horrible acts of violence will be met with the force of the United States Department of Justice. Our efforts, resources, and time will be used to seek those responsible for these crimes.

I’d like to thank the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Marshals Service for apprehending Mr. Jay Arlington. I’m proud to announce Mr. Arlington is now in federal custody and awaiting his first appearance hearing.

In addition to the charges issued against Mr. Arlington, I am officially charging Mr. Arlington with two additional charges including hostage-taking and flight to avoid prosecution or giving testimony. We remain ready to prosecute those who violate the laws of the United States.

I will deliver a press briefing regarding Representative Johnson’s arrest warrant tonight at 10:00 PM EST in the White House Briefing Room. I look forward to being transparent with the American people.

Thank you, Senator, for your feedback; however, as a prosecutor, one must view all acts committed by an individual. When individuals violate the Constitution, it's my responsibility to ensure said individuals are held responsible for their actions. (1/2)

I stand committed to upholding our basic law principles regardless of political affiliation, color, sexual orientation, or race. I hope that consistency is being upheld and that the nature of the crime is looked at, not the individual committing it. ( 2/2)

I also urge citizens to report public corruption or any other acts that violate the law to the proper authorities. This will allow the DOJ to conduct an impartial investigation and determine the following outcomes.

I’ve recently submitted H. Res. 15, the expulsion of Andrew Miller. His remarks, statements, and stance on African Americans is very concerning. We have no place for hate in this House of Representatives. I ask my colleagues to vote on the affirmative on this legislation.
