At our annual general meeting last year, our chairman, Jim Kedge, stood down after 9 years as chair & vice-chair. No-one put themselves forward for the role. The Friends of Calverley Grounds needs a new chair if it is to act as the residents' voice for the town centre park. 1/2

This year’s RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch starts tomorrow! Simply choose an hour between 28 and 30 January and count the birds that you see land in your garden, local park or from your balcony. Then tell them what you saw.

The Tunbridge Wells Puppetry Festival on 15th of October 2022 promises to be full of joy and imagination, with shows inside The Whale, walk-about puppets (beware one of these is grumpy…) and workshops in the Calverley Grounds and the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre.

Art in the Park returns to Calverley Grounds between2 and 4pm on Saturday 15th October!

Last year’s event was fantastic!! Calverley Grounds is definitely the place to be on Saturday.

🎃 Roasted pumpkin seeds - scoop out the seeds, wash, pat dry, toss in oil, salt, pepper, garlic granules and paprika, whack in the oven on foil covered baking sheet and bake at 180 for 12 to 15 minutes tossing occasionally! Hey presto a delicious, nutritious half term snack! 🎃

The ice skating rink construction is well under way ahead of it’s opening on the 18th of November. Anyone else crossing their fingers for crisp cold sunny Winter days with the odd snow flurry this festive season.
