Back from a wonderful 1,500 mls trip to the Continent with friends. We have some great roads in the U.K. but there are many more over there with fewer people on them.

We had an eclectic garage pairing at the BRDC track day on Tuesday. Thought I’d give the Project 7 a go on track. It was huge fun, surprisingly capable and very fast. Maybe not the most practical car I’ve ever owned but it’s very enjoyable.

After a few days in the U.K. I’m back to the Continent. This time for a business and pleasure Grand Tour with my wife. So it seemed appropriate to take my Grand Tourer along which I don’t think I’ve mentioned on here. Bought recently - 2008, 1 owner, 9k mls and it’s magnificent

Take a Bentley and a derestricted autobahn and even my wife goes mad!

Just back from a wonderful 2,200ml Continental jaunt with my wife. Munich, Milan, Geneva and Zurich. Part work, part family visits. Can’t believe there’d be a better car to do this trip in than the Bentley. So swift, comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. Doesn’t feel 17 years old

I’ve been intrigued by the Honda S2000 for years, in spite of poor reviews from journalists as it’s far from perfect. However couldn’t resist this 3 owner, 9k ml car. My colleagues The Intercooler will likely not be impressed, especially Mr Sutcliffe, but so far I’m loving it!

It’s been a convertible sort of weekend down in my neck of the woods. Great fun!

How good does this still look?

Privileged to have a few passenger laps with Tom Chilton today at SCD Secret Meet in the very impressive new P39 from RML Group. Remarkable how good the car felt, even from the wrong seat! And always cool to be in the development vehicle….

So good to be back on a road trip. Might have been an advantage to have a car with a/c this week but would never turn down an opportunity to take the Club Sport

This is why we go to France for a driving trip. There are some great roads in the U.K. of course. But the roads in many parts of France are well maintained, empty and generally wonderful.

Not sure there’s a better place to roll over 140,000 mls in the Club Sport. And still going strong.

Had a wonderful day Goodwood FOS yesterday and very many thanks to Riley and the team Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for a very fast ride up the hill. The Phantom was remarkable and way more agile and composed than I expected. Good fun.

I know I’m grumpy but when did people become so selfish and unthinking that they have their phones on loudspeaker on a train. This guy has done a whole conference call in public, while another in front of me is on hold to a customer service line - also on loudspeaker!!

Just back from a great trip to Spa and Zolder with RMA. Spa remains one of my favourites, Zolder less so….. But the 992 GT3 MR was mighty on both. First time on circuit in this car and it’s definitely the best GT3 I’ve ever driven on track.

I’ve got a ridiculously early start tomorrow morning. Will probably be worth it though.
