Little Stint Whitesands for about an hour around high tide this morning with assortment of other waders - at one point all temporarily flushed by Peregrine Birding Lothian RSPB Edinburgh Area LG





Barns Ness - searching for Red Breasted Flycatcher and Yellow Browed Warbler. Sadly no confirmed sighting. But nice to see this Pied Flycatcher Birding Lothian RSPB Edinburgh Area LG


Just back from Estonia with friends from RSPB Edinburgh Area LG and Wildlife Travel. Lovely countryside with lots of migrating cranes and sea ducks, but the highlight was a night in a bear hide. Great views of a mother and two cubs, briefly joined by a second bear with two cubs.


Excellent outing to RSPB Mersehead yesterday with the RSPB Local Group. Amongst the 0000's of geese (Barnacle, Pink-footed, Greylag) were two Snow Geese. Parasol Mushrooms in the dunes grassland really were the size of plates. RSPB Edinburgh Area LG
