DG Zane Dangor, G20 Sherpa, accompanied by his 2 Sous-Sherpas, DDG Xolisa Mabhongo and Adv Nokukhanya, Officials from DIRCO, and the Permanent Delegation of SA to UNESCO met at UNESCO on collaborating with the organisation in preparation of the G20 summit in SA in November 2025.

MEETING WITH THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY AGENCY. DG Zane Dangor, in his capacity as G20 Sherpa, and H.E. Nathi Mthethwa, Ambassador of South Africa to France, met the IEA’s Executive director Mr Fatih Birol, on 27 January at the IEA’s head office in Paris.

DEPUTY-PRESIDENT MASHATILE VISITS RATP. On May 22, Deputy President Mashatile visited the RATP. He was received by the RAPT's CEO, Mr Jean Castex. In SA, RATP operates several contracts. Mr Paul Mashatile encouraged the RATP to look into more collaboration opportunities.

AIR FRANCE BOOSTS CAPE TOWN-PARIS SERVICE FOR 2025/2026 SEASON. Operating from 15 December 2025 to 12 January 2026, the airline will run daily nonstop flights between CT and Paris. Air France-KLM will offer up to 18 weekly flights to CT and a total of 32 flights per week to SA.
