For fans of early to mid-90s lo-fi #indierock , my completed The RPM Challenge full-length might be of interest. Some #populist themes, too

The RPM Challenge complete! I committed to 5 but finished 4. Inspired by where I live I used my own field recordings from my surroundings and created my own patches to create a representation of the sonic experience of my home. on.soundcloud.com/uUZGd
Today I finished my 17th album as #RedQueenHypothesis for The RPM Challenge. It is a Christmas album entitled “Jolly Magic”.
I will leave it up for a few days now but the official release date will be Dec 1st, 2023.
Enjoy a sneak peek!

It’s the end of February. The 2023 The RPM Challenge is ending. Making Summoned By Drones was an amazing journey. I hope you enjoy. This was such a labour of love to create. Link in bio.

Xavier Junior High students participating in the The RPM Challenge capped off the school week with a visit from WithVioletBand! The band played tunes, talked about songwriting, and answered all kinds of musical questions.
Many thanks to Dave at Hurricane Music for sending them our way!
Today’s The RPM Challenge session included a visit from the amazing Mike McDonald. Mike has been making music in NL for over 30 years and is one of the most charismatic people around. Kids listened to him and talked eagerly about song craft.
What a pro! What a treat!

My take on #ValentinesDay , in songwriting form. Or at least, I'm writing about love as I see it. I'm enjoying the songwriting process during this year's The RPM Challenge .

Still writing the last few songs on the Hero’s Journey concept album for The RPM Challenge
Unreal how SJ steps up for musicians finding themselves here.
Thanks to Julia Wright for having me on InfoAMSJ this morning to help people finish an The RPM Challenge album this month.
I share this belief. And take it one step further. Make daily messes. You can’t wait for the muse. Make the muse appear by making lots of messes. Consistently.
I’m about to start The RPM Challenge for the 13th time. Gonna make all sorts of messes to get there.
The first @rpmchallenge session was a success! We talked instruments, apps, and process. I encouraged them to try all kinds of techniques, to make notes, and to stay open to it all.
I’m so excited hear what students at @XavierJH come up with this month.
