💚 Today is #SocialPrescribingDay Roots4Life were super thrilled when Natural England The National Academy for Social Prescribing came to visit a few weeks ago to film our green social prescribing project Green Mondays. 1/2

On a cold dreary February Monday last year local ward councillor Pat Greenwall came to visit On discussing how hard Mondays felt in winter, the inspiration for Green Mondays was born. A drop-in session for adults who might be lonely, isolating due to ill-health. 2/3

Funded by Greenwich Community Champions and now Natural England these weekly sessions offer varied sessions on growing vegetables and green meditation and therapy and make our Mondays 💚

Community activities, like gardening, can have a profound positive impact on our health and wellbeing. The @Roots4Life project is a great example of that. #SocialPrescribingDay
