I am once again informed that we need a reminder that DNR does NOT mean do not treat. Unless the patient specially states they do want any interventions there’s still quite a lot we can do before you reach the point of coding.

Unpopular medical opinion. We shouldn’t force patients to rescind their DNR status for some procedures. Iike yeah I want a knee replacement but I don’t want you to code me if I go.

Natalie Shure I have noticed when people have never experienced any real trauma, any problem becomes comically large. It is their entire personality, as if their minds cannot understand how such a 'thing' could possibly happen.

Like I fully agree that after multiple DUIs it’s correct not to allow my father to drive…..but it does really suck that I can’t ever just have my dad come over or come do things because he lives 3 hours away. Being the kid of an alcoholic sucks.

Cool cool. I’m all for teaching but like when the patient has a BP of 60/dead and maxed on 2 pressors can we not spend 30 minutes learning to suture the arterial line or at least can we plug it in first to verify our BP 🙃
