First attempt at lettering using paper stencils- wonky but cute 🥰. I wanted to add ‘tits’ (Gav & Stace fans will get it!) but the letters were far too large… Can’t wait to see how vibrant the colours are after glazing. #NotQuitePotteryThrowdown

Concerned Citizen Vitamin K is essential to reduce the risk of developing devastating brain bleeds in newborns; they are deficient in this essential vitamin at birth no matter the maternal diet; baby’s own guts are very poor at absorbing vitamin K so the best way by this dose single injection.

Useful. Have seen many similar 'labels' applied to whistleblowers, bereaved families, campaigners etc to try and silence them with vague legal threats they don't fully understand. Thanks Dan and good work as always.

"One easy scan would have picked [the condition] up and meant Piper would have been born in a specialist unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital rather than at my local hospital, which failed to take the proper action.” Time & again, the denial of basic care causes harm. #MaternityScandql

“The tribunal found that Dr [name] proceeded with a forceps delivery despite the patient’s clearly expressed preference against the instrument and without properly explaining the change in method or obtaining informed consent.” bit.ly #InformedConsent

Today I had a hysteroscopy. This isn’t a criticism of the hospital staff, they were kind & professional. But the procedure was brutal, so much so, we had to abandon it. Please sign/share this petition from Hysteroscopy Action calling for adequate pain relief: chng.it/DrTQsJcxsf

My brave client was a young mother who suffered a fourth-degree tear which was mis-diagnosed - she was ignored dismissed and patronised whilst in the most terrible pain, bleeding heavily causing her serious physical and psychological harm. We settled against UH Sussex NHS FT.

Great to see my presentation abstract published in BJOG following the RoyalCollegeObsGyn World Congress 2025. Check it out under ‘Hot Topics in Obstetrics’- “Unmet birth expectations: Maternity care's role in maternal mental health”. #BirthTrauma #PsychologicalSafety #PhDChat

Extraordinary images to use- what was the child mortality rate during the time the pictures depict. WHO is posting this nonsense?? 👀👀 Happy mum happy baby whether breast or bottle fed. Promote a woman’s right to make an informed choice.

💰Surgeon #tonydixon who used industry cash to launch The Pelvic Floor Society & pushed #rectopexy #mesh UK-wide, has been struck off by the GMC. BBC’s Matthew Hill reports on his fall. ☀️This fuels our calls for 🇬🇧#SunshineLegislation to expose industry payments. #FirstDoNoHarm

Reflecting on the angst of families calling for maternity investigations (eg Oxford, Leeds and Sussex) & the missed opportunity we had to make establishing such investigations much much easier had recommendations 44 of the Morecambe Bay Investigation (2015) been implemented. 😞

Cracking as ever. It also triangulates with a growing issue I have that for a duty of candour to work you have to be comfortable with the idea that sometimes people are NOT candid… not everyone is good, honest you

Very grateful to Donna Ockenden FRSA, Hon DLitt Hon DSci for her support in ensuring Oxfordshire families’ harmed by OUH maternity services are heard by regulators. I remember that the ‘Positive Birth Movement’ group I attended while pregnant with my eldest encouraged avoiding vitamin K injections & recommended vaginal swabs rubbed on babies’ faces to support the microbiome after a caesarean 😧
