What we witnessed yesterday is part of a long-standing tradition of racist ritual violence wherein white civilian mobs are enabled by authorities to rage for a period of time unencumbered & with little to no legal consequence in order to reinforce the racial hierarchy. 1/

Yeah, it’s not like allowing unchecked spread of QAnon conspiracies, outright lies, and incendiary hate (which is an action, not a thought btw) has consequences. RI Republican Party following in the footsteps of National. Since that turned out so well. Many ethics. Such brave.

Funny thing about “facts.” They are by definition true things. Not accepting them makes one delusional, and even dangerous. Certain facts are tough, like ‘we’re all gonna die someday’ or ‘Trump is a traitor.’ Still facts though. Grow up. Uprise RI

I don’t want to hear these coup-supporting GOP talk about “blue lives” ever again. They never cared about safety. Never cared about “law & order.” And certainly do not care for democracy. They only care for power, & invited chaos in an effort seize it. They are unfit to serve.

We’ve played four years of defense, fighting for scraps. Now we must go on offense, and start fighting for a living wage, universal healthcare, a Green New Deal, true human rights reform, free and fair elections, democratic economies, and so much more. It starts today. Uprise RI

Whew. I know folks are tired but I’m over here thinking about how we can not allow the GOP to retake the Senate or the House in 2022. And we have to fight them in every local election too. The fight is not over. We have to keep beating them back like a bushfire right now.

Yeah. Kids in cages? Whatever. Obscene inequality? Whatever Millions without healthcare? Whatever. Systemic racism? Whatever. Climate emergency? Whatever.

This is huge. Thank you to all who made sure we counted every possible RIer and let their voices be heard!
