Yesterday our team hosted a group of Chelsea Pensioners from Royal Hospital Chelsea with a tour of the galleries and Reserve Vehicle Collection. One of the group remembered welding a fleur-de-lis for some gates during his training at Arborfield - quite possibly these exact gates!

Yesterday, 12 March, we welcomed nine Chelsea Pensioners from Royal Hospital Chelsea to sow seeds in Brompton Cemetery as part of the Battlefields to Butterflies project 🦋 The pensioners were joined by Royal Parks staff and Friends of Brompton volunteers to assist with the wildflower meadow 🌹

Last week we joined Combat Stress for the annual #MarchinMarch joint fundraising walk. As part of the march, Chelsea Pensioners walked over 5 miles from the Royal Hospital Chelsea to the Tower of London in their iconic scarlet uniforms to raise funds for both charities.

Last Saturday, the Chelsea Pensioner walking rugby team, the Scarlet Warriors, had the honour of supporting the 25th anniversary celebrations of the founding of @beccehamianRFC adult women's teams. 🏉 The Scarlet Warriors played two commemorative matches, winning both.

This week, Chelsea Pensioners John Morris (103) & Tony Hunt (85) joined Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle to mark 80 years since the Ayrton Light atop Big Ben was switched back on, signalling peace in 1945. Their presence brought living memory to this historic tribute. #AyrtonLight #VE80
