#OTD 1943, numerous casualties from the fighting in the Nissoria area, (Sicily). One of them is Pte F. A. Turner of London, ON who rushed to the aid of Lt-Col Crowe, who was killed in the same engagement. They are both buried at the Agira Canadian War Cemetery in Sicily.
