I was reflecting on my journey to being a fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine after attending the fellowship ceremony yesterday with family and friends, I am grateful to all of you, my wife, parents, family, and friends - who make all of this worthwhile!
Conservative management of traumatic pneumothorax. Challenging dogma. 150 patients randomised to the CoMiTED Trial as of Sunday evening! The largest RCT in traumatic pneumothorax ever. With 70% out of hours recruitment the clinical buy in is amazing. Thanks to all teams involved

Many EDs were overcrowded and understaffed last week, and will be next week. The real problems in urgent and emergency care are longstanding, structural, and the result of policy choices. Attempts to distract from this fact are unhelpful in the long run. #ResuscitateEmergencyCare
