Just spoke with a staffer in Anna Caballero's office about some casework. I appreciate they are willing to take the time to help and my family. Hoping they can help us find the info we need.

I’m so thankful that I was able to evacuate before the flood waters trapped me. This is a picture of my apartment complex.I’m safe at my parents place. No idea when I can go home. Thank you Merced Police Department Merced Fire Dept. Merced County Sheriff's Office for what you do for our community.

My week this far; Mandatory Evacuation, Flood destroys my neighborhood, levees fail, tornado sighting, and an earthquake. My family and I are physically fine but mentally I’m exhausted and broken. This not knowing and not being able to see what has survived is eating me up inside

Was able to get into check on my apartment thankfully no water has gotten in yet. We have about 8 more days of rain and I’m still under a mandatory evacuation.

Water levels are finally starting to recede. I’m still under the mandatory evacuation order and another storm is expected to hit us Saturday - Wednesday. Hoping it’s a lot lighter than the last one

Environmental disasters like this are the direct result of corporate greed. Rail companies have been putting profit > people & safety for years: firing workers, cutting maintenance & inspections, lobbying for deregulation. Now an entire town is burning with toxic chemicals.

“Students in this fire-vulnerable community, who have lost their homes and businesses to devastating wildfires, have been seeking a program like this for years. This fire management program is vital to the future of Northern California.” -Clemaus Tervalon, President of SSCCC

One of the most impactful mentors and educators I’ve ever had the pleasure to learn from passed this week. There is no one I have ever met that went as far for their students as Dr. Elizabeth Harvey. She was the highlight of my time at Merced College. Goodbye Dr. Harvey.
