Great to begin VE Day celebrations yesterday with a visit to POSK Polish Centre London, learning about the immense contribution by Poles during the Second World War and the strong links between Poland and the UK during the War, from the Battle of Britain to Monte Cassino

It was an honour to lead Kensington and Chelsea's VE Day Commemorations at Kensington Town Hall. Our Borough pays tribute to our Armed Forces, past and present. We also remember all those, soldiers and civilians, who lost their lives in the Second World War, liberating Europe.

Delighted to visit Royal Hospital Chelsea today for their 1940s style Village Fête to commemorate 80 years since VE Day. I really enjoyed chatting with pensioners, plus some dancing and practicing my aim with water pistols!
