A piece of royal history at RAMM is a 1902 Coronation Chocolate Bar. A large part of the daily work of a conservator is doing research on how to keep fragile objects stable in storage and keeping the pests away. How long would you save a bar of chocolate for? 🍫 #AskAConservator

Being a conservator can be a bit like being a modern-day Sherlock Holmes, using magnifying glasses and UV lights to examine objects. This is how we found out that the animal heads on this salt cellar are the work of a past conservator. #AskAConservator
