Thanks to The Guardians race in Coalport, just south of Telford our very own Sgt Ivory has now completed the 100! In a journey that started back in 2005, the sergeant is officially a member of the elite UK 100 Marathon Club. It has been a hard hill to climb but he has done it!

I’m privileged to have attended ‘Spirit of the Battle of Britain’ Banquet to honour the 2024 outstanding @USAirForce & Royal Air Force Exchange Officers with the presentation of the RAF Museum American Foundation Swords of Honor & Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

Proud RAF personnel were out in force at the annual Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal collection in London. Tube stations including Leicester Square, Piccadilly & Oxford Circus saw many a face rattling tins, handing out poppies and collecting for a great cause. #Remembrance #lestweforget

At 1100hrs RAF High Wycombe fell silent to honour the many whose lives have been lost or scarred by conflict. The well attended event stood in quiet contemplation during the two-minute silence before a lone bugler played The Last Post. #lestweforget2024 #RemembranceDay2024

Congratulations to our very own Mr Brown for helping to raise £2,298.50 for the Royal British Legion appeal. Each year Mr B delivers over thirty collection boxes to schools, shops, pubs and restaurants all over Naphill & Walters Ash, and then meticulously collecting them all back again.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of the last surviving Battle of Britain pilot, John 'Paddy' Hemingway on 17 March at the age of 105. A painting of a Hurricane piloted by Paddy was presented to RAF HWY in July 23 in a ceremony attended by his son, Brian.

It was a pleasure to welcome Air Commodore Fogden to present medals and commendations at our recent Honours & Awards ceremony. It was a truly proud day for all recipients and their families. A very big thank you to the Air Commodore for his rousing closing words of appreciation.
