Yesterday, RAF Halton exercised its right to the Freedom of Aylesbury, marching through the town with colour flying and the Central Band of the RAF playing.

The Station Commander and the Mayor of Aylesbury jointly reviewed the parade, solidifying the longstanding relationship🇬🇧

The Gallipoli campaign of 1915 was commemorated this week in the 100th anniversary year of the CWGC memorial at Helles. The picture shows the opening ceremony in 1924 and this year's service.

Whilst visiting RAF Akrotiri the Chaplain-in-Chief was privileged to participate in #AnzacDay commemorations in Cyprus, as a guest of Australian High Commission, Cyprus H.E. Ms Fiona McKergow.

Today on #AnzacDay we remember not only the Australian & New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers who died on 25 April 1915 and throughout the Gallipoli campaign, but every one who has served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. ❤️

On ANZAC Day some of our Padres had the privilege to lead Acts of Remembrance both in Gallipoli and the UK with RAAF & RNZAF.
Padre David laid a wreath for Pte Frank Lewes who died at Gallipoli in 1915, which his son discovered recently while doing a family history. #AnzacDay

Today we mark 106 years since the @‌RoyalAirForce became the world’s first independent Air Force, and we also congratulate @‌RCAF_ARC on reaching its centenary.  #StrongerTogether

On this day 106 years ago the Royal Air Force came into existence.

Since 1918 RAF personnel have dedicated themselves to serve wherever and whenever they are tasked to go. The world may have changed significantly but the professionalism, dedication and desire to serve remains.

British Army Chaplains have the honour of leading many Commonwealth War Graves rededication services. Recently Revd Sander, chaplain to Household Cavalry led services in France and Belgium for five Word War I soldiers. 🙏
