Negotiations between the RAB and 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽 are continuing to move forward productively. Today, the parties sat down, rolled up their sleeves, and pressed ahead with the hard work of bargaining.

Today marked our 4th negotiation session with 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽 and we continue to move closer to another successful and fair contract for both sides. We remain hopeful that we will reach an agreement by December 31st.

We are proud to have reached a fair deal with 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽 that thoughtfully considered the regulatory and legislative challenges – as well as a softening real estate market – facing the industry.

In anticipation of leaner economic times ahead, the wages and benefits we agreed to are a responsible solution for the next four years.

Today, we commenced new residential contract negotiations with 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽. We were proud to join together to focus on what’s most important and take a moment of silence to recognize and mourn the loss of employees and family members that passed during the COVID-19 pandemic

Today we shared our proposal to 32BJ SEIU /// #BuildingJustice 🧹✊🏽, including fair & reasonable wage increases and sharing of healthcare costs through employee contributions to the premiums, of which employees currently pay zero.

As we continue negotiations over the coming weeks, we aim to continue showing how collaboration between labor and management creates the conditions for an industry to not only endure the tough times, but to succeed together afterward.

The industry is proud to have reached a fair agreement that will continue to create and support middle class jobs for more than 30,000 workers over the next four years.

The agreement builds on the important work RAB and 32BJ accomplished together throughout the pandemic – protecting jobs and maintaining solid health benefits – and further shows the industry’s respect and appreciation for our essential workers with a substantial bonus.
