Tariffs are the key to future of America and reshoring manufacturing Lol jk gotcha, tariffs were only a negotiating tactic Genius execution, huge tariffs on China, only 10% with RoW, art of the fucking deal baby Ok actually 25% on Canada and Mexico is even more genius

"I've donated millions of dollars to Democrats, I've never been to the Oval." Your political donations should not get you - or anyone - a trip to the Oval. They should not get you an audience with the president. They should not get you calls from the White House to ask your

The most obvious and simple proof there is no plan: - America is now in a full-on trade war with China - They are asking other countries to take their side - But...they pissed every other country off first That order of operations makes literally no sense. It's indefensible

I have come to the perhaps obvious conclusion that accelerating GDP growth is essential. Department of Government Efficiency has and will do great work to postpone the day of bankruptcy of America, but the profligacy of government means that only radical improvements in productivity can save our country.

I do think it's insane DOGE ultimately cut, nearly exclusively, the government's cheap, inredibly high ROI projects (foreign aid, NSF, CDC, etc.) while leaving literally everything that actually costs money untouched.

Man comes to the US from Lebanon. Starts out delivering pizzas, becomes a Nobel winning neuroscientist. Trump freezes his funding, he gets an email from China offering to move his lab “any city, any university I want" with guaranteed funding for 20 years. What are we doing?

Nah. This is what Europe is like, but America doesn't work like this. The Real Americans have always been the pioneers who showed up chasing a dream.

I do not believe the fertility crisis is, at its core, about economic factors. Out of my 20 or so closest friends from Harvard, only two of us have kids at 30. These are all people in top 1-5% of income for their age bracket, extremely privileged wrt job security. They aren’t

Drug trafficking is a crime, not an act of war. Traffickers must be arrested, not summarily executed, which U.S. forces just illegally did.

NEW data I've received: Just 5% of people detained by ICE since October 1 have had violent criminal convictions, 3/4 had no criminal convictions at all. Most "criminals" had immigration, traffic, and vice offenses. Not the "worst of the worst"...

$6.25 billion. 25 million children. $250 each. Susan and I believe the smartest investment we can make is in children. That’s why we’re so excited to contribute $6.25 billion from our charitable funds to help 25 million children start building a strong financial foundation

I am a liberal because liberalism proved over 200 years that it worked. I am not a progressive, because progressivism has not yet proven that it can work anywhere.

Big if true. But the key is not publication bias, it is permission bias. Scientists don't get permission to change the choice architecture and run an RCT. There is no RCT on the highly successful NEST retirement savings program in UK. But 90% auto enrolled. 1/2
