Such great information at the 2018 Agronomy Research Update. Including risk of herbicide carryover into 2019 and updates on clubroot in the province. Thanks Prairie CCA and Sask Agriculture

What's up with boron? Around 20 per cent of canola growers include #boron in their fertility program but is it worth it? Read what the most recent research trials are revealing: topcropmanager.com/canola/whats-u… #westcdnag #canola

FINALLY! The Red Book is available online (for free)! I've spent a few hours searching University archives and online books stores looking for the infamous "Red Book"! A great reference for western Canadian agronomists! canadianagronomist.ca/resource/the-r…🤓

Here's some Twitter fodder. We measured distance between emerged pea seeds on 1M of row across the front (1), middle (2) and back (3) shanks across 7 "precision" drills. We've been been VR seeding for decades. :)

This poor little guy had quite the journey before he cracked the surface. Always a good idea to stop and check your seeding depth. #Plant2019

When scouting for frost damage, don't assume halos around the cotyledon are from frost. When the plant is growing fast, translocation of seed treatment is also very fast, which can cause a yellow halo. Don't worry though, this doesn't affect health or efficacy of the product!

Some excellent FHB fungicide timing from Crop Science Canada Another check in field bc of varietal differences is to check middle glumes for anther colour. Lime green indicates a few days yet. Change to yellow indicates roughly 24hrs and those anthers will spring out.

Important information for producers that were on the fence with spraying a fungicide due to no significant rains this season until now.
