I think Posix-style memorx mgmt. was supported from Oracle 9 (introduction of X-table for Granules) but only used in AIX-environments???

The best way to predict changes of application behaviour when switching to new database is to generate a traceprofile and compare execution.

Comparison of execution is more on the level of execution plans then on time of execution. Plans should remain stable and mainly equal!

The tim= param inside a 10046 tracefile is based on a repetitive internal timer and could not be transformed to a time in the real world.

The correct system time is displayed in the header of a tracefile and could be adjusted ongoing based on timestamps printed on regular base.
