farmers markets and fresh food markets are essential! As such they should be allowed to operate under similar rules as grocery stores. Please sign this petition and reach out to your councillor & MPP to express your concern chng.it/bL7dQfbvsw

Tobacco tie day 466. Overcast but winds aren’t to bad. Thoughts about how change can be difficult but the Earth needs us to do it. Some changes could be riding a bike to work, or buying more local food. I find doing it in a group it helps for you have the support. #whitefish

It’s reprehensible that Ontario is blaming the actions of individuals when it has failed to solve systemic problems that are clearly contributing massively to the arise in COVID cases - like the lack of sick days.

This box of beautiful fresh produce was just delivered to my home by a FoodShare essential worker with paid sick days and a $4/hour pandemic pay top up (consistently applied since March 2020). It's time for legislated paid sick days for all!

St. Lawrence Market South (main) Market building is open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 5am to 4pm. Looking to beat the lines? We typically only have lines on Saturdays. The days with the least number of visitors are typically Tuesday to Thursday.

It is with great sadness that the TFPC shares the passing of Wayne Roberts. He was a visionary in the food movement and his work inspired many. It is without a doubt that his remarkable legacy will continue to impact food policy around the world. He will be greatly missed.

We are so sad to learn of the passing of Wayne Roberts and are profoundly grateful for all of the food security work he has championed over the years. Wayne will forever be a friend of FoodShare.

Unpaid internships are a common way for youth to gain agricultural experience but they are a huge barrier to low-income youth who can't afford not to work. Sundance Harvest is creating new opportunities through the Growing in the Margins program! ow.ly/l1y150DPae4

Doug Ford is wrong. In 1965, the province signed a 99 year lease with the City and TRCA to create a science centre in Flemingdon Park. And, that the building could only be used as a science centre. It’s now his responsibility to keep that promise and maintain it in good repair.
