The original Silent Night, Deadly Night is untouchable in its era-defining shock value. The remake doesn’t try to replace it, instead, it carves out its own path with confidence and craft. Definitely went harder on the gore and it was fantastic 🖤

Bob Clark’s restrained and atmospheric direction in this film is why it remains the best Christmas horror movie IMO 🖤

The 3 minute Steadicam tracking shot in this movie isn’t talked about enough, it’s pure brilliance. It immerses us in the mob’s allure, bypassing lines, greeting everyone, special treatment. The glamour before the fall, it’s a masterclass in visual storytelling 🎬
