one of my favourite projects while working in Max-Planck-Institut für Polymerforschung is now published, many thanks to my supervisor for his support and collaborators' contributions!
Very happy to share our recent work on rhombenes (rhombus-shaped zigzag-edged nanographenes) published in Nature Chemistry , a great collaboration of chemists, physicists and theorists rdcu.be/ckjRs
A nonbenzenoid carbon allotrope, now out in Science @sciencemagazine. Great collaboration with Atomic Scale Physics and #SFB1083 @uni_mr : "Biphenylene network: A nonbenzenoid carbon allotrope" science.sciencemag.org/content/372/65…. Congrats to Qitang Fan , Linghao Yan et al.!
A Nanographene-Based Two-Dimensional #CovalentOrganicFramework as a Stable and Efficient Photocatalyst (Narita) Max-Planck-Institut für Polymerforschung @KLandfester Mischa Bonn Kai Zhang NTUScienceTechnology Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) #openaccess thanks to #projektDEAL onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
🎁HBT Klaus Muellen turning 75. A true Koelsche Jung, happy & creative in the global Mainzer Buett Max-Planck-Institut für Polymerforschung, courageously connecting molecules, people, societies GDCh American Chemical Society obtaining unobtainable structures in #MolecularElectronics and #BiomedicalResearch!
Interested in π-magnetism and large exchange magnetic coupling? Our latest work is out at JACS. Great collaboration with Prof. Klaus Müllen, Prof. Akimitsu Narita, Nanosurf Lab and nanotech@surfaces Lab. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
Here we show that bottom-up precision graphene nanoribbons with bulky groups can provide excellent solution processability and yield ultra clean transport devices with sharp single electron features. Thanks to all cooperation partners! Wenhui Niu nature.com/articles/s4156…
Happy to share my first paper in Harry Anderson Group and Oxford Chemistry. We report the synthesis of β,β-directly linked porphyrin nanorings using tailored precursor and the non-cooperative 1:2 binding of the saddle-shaped tetramer with fullerenes. Check out our paper↓↓↓
Edge fused anthracene-porphyrin nanoribbons have been synthesised and show efficient pi delocalisation and high redox activity. Find out more in our new Angewandte Chemie communication onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…. Congratulations He Zhu, Qiang Chen and Igor Roncevic!
The second project I finished in Harry Anderson Group finally was published in Nature Chemistry . We report a solution-based method to fabricate semiconducting porphyrin-fused graphene nanoribbon with low optical bandgap of ~1.0 eV. for more details, please check nature.com/articles/s4155…
