The Purcellville PD is offering FREE car seat safety checks by a CPST this Friday, Aug 8th from 2-4pm! Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are accepted depending on CPST availability. Use QR code to reserve your spot. Include make & model of the car seat when registering.

With school starting this week, we understand how important the traditional “First Day Of School” photos are. But be careful with what you share! Don't include what school your child attends, teacher’s name, age/what year they graduate, etc. Don't show house or bus # in photos.

CROSSWALK SAFETY REMINDERS! As students head back to school this week, please be aware of additional pedestrian traffic in neighborhoods, bus stops & around schools. EVERYONE should watch the road, not their phones! Remember, together we ALL play a part in traffic safety!

#BackToSchool time is almost here, which means more school buses on the roads! REMINDER- When the 🛑 is out, always stop & watch for students. Stopping isn't required if the bus is on the other side of the median of a divided highway, but use caution & lookout for kids crossing.

Is your child walking or biking to school, or even just walking to & from the bus stop by themselves? Regardless if your student is a new walker or biker, or more experienced, please review these important safety tips. And remember, if you are riding a bike, wear a helmet!
