Sometimes a picture really is worth 1000 words. Analysis in 2020 found that privatised water companies paid £57bn in dividends to shareholders since their foundation in 1991 to 2019. Now they say they need better infrastructure to stop piping sewage into rivers, lakes, and sea.

This should be all over the front pages. The government's terminating our right to protest, through amendments sneaked into the Police Bill at the last minute. It's the biggest assault on democracy in 70+ years, and hardly anyone seems to know. My column theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

I'm sure that Twitter couldn't give a shit, but I have an album out in February under the name Punky Muzzle. It's called Coins In Vinegar. #Plague #NewMusic #Vinegar

On the left is a 2020 Met Office prediction of what a 2050 summer heatwave could look like. On the right is a BBC weather forecast made this morning, for this coming Tuesday. The Climate Crisis is real and it's happening now. Wake the f**k up.

The last and smallest load of hay is in. Cut with a 4ft finger mower on the walking tractor, turned and raked by hand with a pitchfork. It is 38 degrees here, too hot for working but a thunderstorm is forecast for 3pm so I had to bring it safe. Hay shed is packed to the rafters!

BT made £1.3bn, gave £750m to shareholders and the CEO got £3.5m. We have members using foodbanks. Today BT announced £400m profit for 1/4 year. Tomorrow our members strike for the first time since 1987 and have been subjected to extreme intimidation. RT if you back them.

As far as the verge cutters got. Nice man driving but silly Devon country council instructions to flail all to within a meter of ditch. Simply witless. No cover or food in savaged hedgerows. No need to cut the verges yearly. No space for voles or mice. No hope for glow worms.

Yesterday I got arrested whilst filming a Just Stop Oil supporter holding a banner on the pavement near the coronation route. I'm a filmmaker and had my @BECTU press accreditation visible around my neck. Police deemed this to be "conspiracy to commit a public nuisance".
