On 20 January 2025, FLIGHT supported the Wan Abdul Rachman Grand Forest Park Management Unit to conduct awareness raising to hundreds of participants representing 43 forest farmer groups living around the Grand Forest Park.

On Sunday, 27 January 2025, FLIGHT supported the East Java Quarantine in preventing the smuggling of hundreds of songbirds at Ketapang Port, East Java. The birds were transported by an interprovincial bus and orginated from Bali that are intended to be smuggled into Java Island.

The Cilegon Quarantine and the Merak Port Area Police Sector (KSKP), with support from FLIGHT, successfully prevented an attempt to smuggle hundreds of songbirds of various species at Merak Port, Banten, on January 30, 2025.

East Java Quarantine, supported by FLIGHT, foiled the smuggling of 6,860 songbirds from West Nusa Temggara to Java at Tanjung Wangi Port, Banyuwangi on 1 Feb.

The Highway Patrol of the Lampung Regional Police, along with Lampung BKSDA, with supports from FLIGHT, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle dozens of songbirds of various species on the Terbanggi-Bakauheni Toll Road at KM 63 on Monday, February 3.

On February 5, 2025, SKW III Lampung BKSDA Bengkulu and the Highway Patrol (PJR) of the Lampung Police, with full support from FLIGHT, successfully thwarted the smuggling of hundreds songbirds on Palembang-Bakauheni, Lampung.

A few days ago, FLIGHT supported the Authorities to conduct patrols in the Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park to ensure that birds in nature is safe from poachers' traps.

On Feb 11, prosecutors at the Tanjung Karang District Court have charged two suspects smuggling 6,154 Sumatran birds to Java with 4 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1,000,000 ($ 625). The two suspects were charged with the Natural Resources Conservation Law and Quarantine Law.

On February 20, we had the opportunity to visit 09 Public Elementary School in Jakarta to share knowledge about Indonesia’s biodiversity. Through the School Visit Program, we provided education to students on the importance of protecting and conserving the wildlife.

On April 23, FLIGHT supported Lampung Quarantine to intercept an illegal shipment of 326 Sumatran songbirds to Java at Bakauheni Port, Lampung. 132 of the 326 songbirds had protected status.

The Indonesian Quarantine Agency through the Lampung Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center in collaboration with Flight: Protecting Indonesia's Birds foiled the illegal shipment of hundreds of Sumatran wild birds to Java at Bakauheni Port on Friday (16/5).

On April 29, judges at the Tanjung Karang District Court in Lampung sentenced two perpetrators of the illegal trade of 2,475 Sumatran songbirds to 3 years and 6 months imprisonment each and a fine of IDR 5,000,000 (approximately USD 295).
