On Sunday, 27 January 2025, FLIGHT supported the East Java Quarantine in preventing the smuggling of hundreds of songbirds at Ketapang Port, East Java. The birds were transported by an interprovincial bus and orginated from Bali that are intended to be smuggled into Java Island.

On Feb 11, prosecutors at the Tanjung Karang District Court have charged two suspects smuggling 6,154 Sumatran birds to Java with 4 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1,000,000 ($ 625). The two suspects were charged with the Natural Resources Conservation Law and Quarantine Law.
