Law schools and state bar examiners may be giving premature applause to the #NextGenExam. Instead, let's ask questions and demand answers from the test maker.

All readership reports from law journals and marketing emails from law schools s/b suspended during submission cycles. The way my heart palpitates when I see [name of law school from which I await a decision] in my inbox r/n is not healthy.

Yet we continue to call this a competency exam.

I've adopted the mantra that "no news is potentially good news" during law journal submission season. IDK if it's accurate, but it keeps my feelings from being hurt as I see others share publication decisions.

Of course the clock should stop. I'm very much an "on the other hand" type of reasoner. Always sort of looking for the strengths and weaknesses of arguments. But there's no other hand here. The only hand is on the clock, which should stop. #barexam newsday.com/long-island/ba…

Welp, I'm calling it a wrap for this submission cycle. I will withdraw, revise, and resubmit in Spring. I don't know how non-Constitutional scholars survive the fall cycle. Sigh.
