Establishing a World Health Organization (WHO) Office of the Chief Midwife would send a huge message to the world about the value of midwives!

The term 'obstetric violence' is still rejected by some, but as this author reminds us, that 'allows people to deny [it, which] translates into denying women’s experiences, rejecting women as authoritative moral agents, and ... denies women access to justice.' Phenomenal article.
