Yet again and for the 36th time, a United Nations General Assembly resolution expressing serious concern over the situation of the #Bahai community in #Iran, and other religious minorities, and calling on the Iranian government to “eliminate” all forms of religious discrimination

Sometimes asking a student to “be the voice of” or “advocate for” or “take the position” is asking them to defend their humanity or represent their people or all people like them.

Who thought it was a good idea that when you leave a Teams meeting, you don’t also leave the chat for that meeting by default? Like, I can get down with the *option* for staying connected. But WTF would this be the basic approach.

This is like the one thing that is *theoretically* net positive about the move to tap. You no longer have to shell out upfront for a weekly pass. Still not accessible to the many, many NYers who don’t have banking because it requires a card or equivalent. And 12 is too many taps.

Regardless of your position on the broader conflict, either Hamas is a terrorist organization or it’s not. And if it is, I need you to stop suggesting individuals (abroad but especially Palestinians) appeal to it using “democratic” or even social pressure, like condemnation.

Misogyny is casually suggesting that the statute of limitations for sexual assault should be, like, 24 hours or fewer. You know… otherwise it was consent after the fact.

Why are capitalism’s apologists so dead set on assuring everyone some problem would still exist under some other order? Like… this is not the dunk you think it is.

I see comments like this and—while I appreciate the sentiment—it gives real knows-little-to-nothing-about-the-relationship-between-universities-and their-constituent-schools energy. Law professors cannot just up and decide to solve this problem.

I don’t know… but “Israel is so ineffective at genocide we shouldn’t even call it that” is not the defense people think it is. I’m not convinced it is a useful debate but that’s not the winner.

I don’t know who needs to hear this. But it’s probably a good idea to find a way to prevent too much desensitization. Like, I casually watched multiple death videos on my feed today. That’s really not okay. And my sudden emotional overload at the stoplight is likely the result.

I mean… this really isn’t controversial… maybe not common practice because 🤬 but it’s Assessment 101.

So, my undergraduate negotiation students were given the opportunity to submit real live negotiations… and their choices were awesome and hilarious and wonderful.
