What I find most concerning here is that statisticians and data scientists are no longer needed as data now makes its own predictions! 😱

1/ Hi Oprah Winfrey . This event will be the first time many people will get info on Generative Ai. However it is shaping up to be a misinformed marketing event staring vested interests (some who are under a litany of lawsuits) who ignore the harms GenAi inflicts on communities NOW 🧵

Elon claims he’s for free speech and fair elections, then when he sees a post arguing that only “high status males” should have a vote and voice in society he QTs “Interesting observation.”

I've read many articles about individuals getting radicalized into far-right ideology by engagement-based social media algorithms, but I never expected to see it happen so quickly and prominently as it has with Elon Musk. Sad and scary to watch this happen in real time.

Not smart enough, or just don’t care? Because if one takes all your hype around AI/Grok at face value then one is left to infer the latter.

It’s kind of reassuring to realize that the richest person on the planet is trying his hardest to swing the U.S. Presidential election in his favor and he’s most likely going to fail at doing so. Gives some hope that democracy can still stand up to unfathomable wealth.
