The GSA joined the global community to mark this year's World Standards Day (WSD) with a Flag Raising Ceremony held at its head office on today, October 14, 2024. The WSD is celebrated every year on October 14 to raise awareness about the importance of standards.

Hon. John Peter Amewu, the Minister for Railways Dev. and MP for Hohoe was present during the opening of the GSA Hohoe office. He lauded the initiative and assured them of his support in ensuring that his constituents and other citizens benefit from Standardisation.

The GSA, on Friday, May 30, 2025, commissioned another batch of over 300 Trading Standards Inspectors (TSIs) to ensure fair trading practices and protect consumers. The inspectors, who will be deployed nationwide, are mandated to enforce the Ghana Standards Authority Act 2022.

This forms part of the government’s effort to ensure accurate measurements, uphold quality control, and support economic growth. They were commissioned by Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, at a brief ceremony at the GSA head office.
