Great to be at the launch of Nick Hardwick, Prof Rosie Meek and Kim Reising’s HMIP survey data launch. The huge amount of data collected by HMI Prisons over 20 years is an incredible dataset to hear the experiences of people in prison.

Launch tonight at Royal Holloway Law and Criminology of ESRC Prison Survey Data Project - a research project producing new analysis from 20 years of #prisoner survey data. This enables the team to map the impact on prisoners of policy & budget changes.
Library usage while in prison correlates with feeling less likely to reoffend (also of course correlates with a certain literacy level). Love a data set which confirms my biases 🙌 ESRC Prison Survey Data Project
