Year 4 have been busy in the kitchen this week exploring healthy foods and sustainability. They decided on honey and raisin flapjacks as a sweet treat, working together and sharing the roles to bake. Well done, Year 4! #wearechefs #foodforlife

Our Year 3 and 4 have been working with Artist in Residence Inspiring Creativity this week. They are working together to turn their fabulous drawings about our Franche values into mosiac magic! This will be bedazzling our entrance hall after half term. 🤩

Year 3 have brought their topic to life by taking part in a Stone Age Day, where they made clay pots or talismans, created cave paintings and even had a go at 'hunting' using spears (javelins), bows and arrows. #digdiscoverdate #creativecurriculum #bringinghistoryalive

Our Gardening Club went pond dipping. The children worked in teams and found frogs, pond snails, baby newts and our resident fish. They also maintained their mini gardens and were excited to see that their grass seed had already germinated. #ponddipping #gardeningclub #exploring

As part of their Stone Age topic, Year 3 have been learning about rocks and their different properties. Today, they have been scientists and have investigated which rock would have been the best one to use as a spear during the Stone Age. #STEMlearning #makinghistory

Year 5 have been learning about Samba and how rhythm patterns are layered up and arranged into a structure with grooves, breaks, and call and response rhythms. Everyone then had a go at improvising their own rhythms. #WeAreMusic #outdoorclassroom

Year 2 have been researching famous explorer and adventurer Marco Polo. After discovering that he travelled through deserts of Mongolia on camels to reach China, they watercolour painted their mind maps in desert colours and added their researched facts. #tellinghistory
