Catastrophic flash-flooding is expected along numerous streams, especially in the NC/SC mountains and NE GA. Flooding of mainstem rivers is expected, with major to possibly historic flooding near the Blue Ridge Escarpment. Landslides/debris flows expected through at least Friday.

Western NC legislators should demand immediate state funding for Helene recovery - including small business and local gov grants - instead of billions of dollars for private school vouchers for the wealthy that hurt rural public schools and fund mostly urban counties. - RC
