As I kick-off my third year at Council on Occupational Education I wanted to mark this milestone. Looking forward to visiting with our members.

Enjoyed my time with the teams at the Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations (FL) and the nearly 300 graduates at the Palm Beach County School District (FL). Our member institutions make a difference in the community as well as the classroom.

COE President's Leadership in Motion Tour made a stop at Pro Way Hair School in Dekalb County, Georgia on August 13th. Dr. Nooks, connected with students, faculty, and staff - even joining in the fun taking professional headshots along with the students !

President and CEO Dr. Nooks made his second Georgia stop at the International School of Skin, Nailcare and Massage Therapy. Celebrating schools, inspiring students and championing excellence – the Leadership in Motion Tour is making every stop count.

Dr. Kirk A. Nooks recently served as a featured panelist at the 41st Annual CAPPS Conference as well as the Higher Ed Seminar. He contributed to national conversations on accreditation, rural education, and the future of workforce-focused institutions.

San Antonio has several COE accredited institutions. The opportunity to learn about our institutions, their programs, and their students is just one of the highlights of our work.

Commissioner Dib was a great host - along with the faculty, staff, and students of Southwest School of Business and Technical Careers. They even taught me about the benefits of clover candy. Who knew?
