We just spent a week in the Colorado Rockies celebrating my parents' 90th birthdays. We had a great time hiking, playing games, and hanging out. Here's one of 500 pictures.

Time to brag about my dad again. My sisters got to join him for his 90th birthday ride-my-age on Saturday, a tradition he's maintained for the past 15 years. He claims rides in the next decade will be more leisurely.

Sliman was a great friend, as full of life as anyone I know. Terrified of heights (I didn't know it at the time) he went along with my plan to hike an off-limits, unreconstructed part of the Great Wall. Here he is, half-way through and at the end. RIP, Sliman, it was a great run!

This is one of a number of exciting new studies that Xuan is completing. This one compares several methods for "aligning" the latent signals computed from M1 for a remarkably broad range of datasets from several monkeys and tasks. Nice implications for BCI that we hope to test.
