The next consortium meeting for the PRELUDE project is scheduled for 19 and 20 June. The meeting will be hosted in Athens and it will be an opportunity for partners to exchange feedback on the progress made so far and share the activities planned for the next months.

The general assembly in Athens is on its way. Two days where all the partners will be able to share their respective progress and discuss upon the roadmap leading up to the end of the project.

The consortium meeting in Athens has been the perfect setting to align on project outcomes and the ongoing activities. Thanks to everyone who attended, both in person and online. Expect more news to be shared in the coming weeks on our website and social media.

📌 Let’s take a look at the demo site in Krakow. It’s a low tech office building located in the city center. The pilot is focusing on collecting data from the sensors and providing it to PRELUDE in order to test the technologies that are being developed and conduct research.

PRELUDE T.5.5 consolidates technical results from various activities into a cohesive framework. Data is collected from each pilot using interfaces and shared with clients via the FusiX platform, a main service of EMTECH. Raw data and results can be accessed through a defined API.

The international conference e.nova “Intelligent energy and climate strategies” took place on June at @FHBurgenland. Thanks to the partners of the PRELUDE project AAU, Brunel University of London, Politecnico di Torino, Stam S.r.l., LIBRA AI Technologies and Forschung Burgenland for the contribution.

One of the most suitable demo sites for the PRELUDE technology has been the Energetikum building in Pinkafeld. An in depth demonstration and validation process of the main application middleware, FusiX, was performed here, achieving notable results available in 6.2 Deliverable.

In the PRELUDE project two NZEB houses in Denmark were equipped with modern tech. One house implemented a predictive control system to optimize energy costs, while the other reduced heating energy by lowering indoor temps. An ongoing experiment aims to prevent summer overheating.

During the 2023-2024 heating season, Aalborg University conducted an experiment aimed at minimizing the energy performance gap for space heating while examining occupant acceptance of thermal comfort. The focus was on one of the Danish PRELUDE pilots.

PRELUDE project will be at Sustainable Places 2024 with a workshop on Real-Time Self-Assessment for Building Energy Management as part of the scheduled final events. In the next days we’ll share more information on the partners that will be attending!

As part of our final events series, on Tuesday 24 September, PRELUDE Project goals and results have been shared at the Sustainable Places 2024 convention: Europe's First destination for EU research collaboration and market opportunities.

Daniel Leira successfully defended his PhD on September 24th in Copenhagen. His thesis, titled "From Smart Heat Meters to Diagnostics: Data-driven methodologies for building efficiency assessment within district heating" includes significant contributions to the PRELUDE Project.
