We were honored to co-lead a workshop on disrupting the womb to foster-system pipeline with The Bronx Defenders, Pregnancy Justice | @pregnancyjust.bsky.social, & @BLU4Black at Beyond the Bars. We spoke to the history of family policing, the ongoing criminalization of birthing people, & the movement for abolition.

None of this is normal, by the way. People from the South (or anywhere else) shouldn’t have to travel to get abortions. They shouldn’t have to find back doors to abortion pills. Abortion should be available in all of our communities. We can’t get cede this ground.
