En route to the motherland of advanced manufacturing. Taiwan & Korea are still the only places on Earth where you can fab a 3nm chip.

Just got back from Taipei with Claire Pan & Michael Frei where the future is literally etched in silicon. Only 2 places on Earth can fab a 3nm chip: Taiwan and Korea. There’s something different about Taiwan: - Engineers are much closer to the physics—they talk in carrier drift

I’m in Austin, and this is how my lunch got delivered. Amazing, but, I had to chase this little guy around the block as it raced past me to a random street corner a block away. Our maps are good, but for autonomous systems to reach human-equivalence, we need more precision.

Dangerous power electronics? Great job for AI. Atlas — Arena’s AI electrical engineer was hard at work this week fixing electrical faults on cars. 6 hours of work for a human… 6 minutes of work for Atlas.

Last week seven B-2 Spirits dropped 12 × 30,000-lb GBU-57 bunker-busters on nuclear sites in Iran. The bombs’ “brain” wasn’t GPT-anything—it’s a 1960 algorithm that still rules real-world autonomy Meet the Kalman filter. Invented for Apollo, it fuses gyro, GPS and radar data,

Elon’s right. Stealth fighter planes that hide from radar won’t work against AI-guided vision. They need optical stealth—using metamaterials, materials that control how light moves, not just how it reflects. Here's how it works: These materials create Dirac-like cones—special

Stray EM fields will quietly burn > $1 Trillion this decade—they are a common culprit behind scrubbed rocket launches, EV recalls and satellite failures. Here’s the breakdown, and the AI roadmap that fixes it. 🧵👇 1️⃣ The hidden cost • $200 B/yr on EM sims + lab tests (half are

Did you know that we’re in the middle of a new era gold rush over a rare earth material that most people can’t even pronounce, and we’re losing to China big time? That’s where MP Materials comes in. For more tech company breakdowns, check out chartsncrafts on YouTube

There are two types of organizations: Ones that do stuff (McKinsey, the military, Goldman) and ones that make stuff (Apple, Anduril, NVIDIA) At the ones that do stuff, you can have a relatively homogeneous workforce. At the ones that make stuff, you need two types - artists

We’re in Lisbon at #WebSummit this week along with Pratap Ranade of Arena. If you’re there, say hello - or catch one of their sessions on how founders, VCs, and intelligent systems are evolving.

Another #WebSummit stage this week: brett gibson and Pratap Ranade (Arena) on winning in AI now—bold pivots, real data moats (your own data), learning from real-world interactions, language as the first primitive (not the only one), and keeping up as the market shifts. Video
