I am announcing a new visa restriction policy for those responsible for undermining democracy in Georgia, including in connection with the Georgian Dream’s proposed “foreign influence” legislation.

Today Secretary Antony Blinken announced a visa restriction policy for individuals undermining democracy in Georgia. As former U.S. Ambassador to Georgia 🇬🇪, I’m deeply saddened it has come to this. We 🇺🇸 stand with the Georgian people’s right to choose their own future.

500+ MT of humanitarian aid arrived in Gaza via the maritime corridor in the last week. Distribution is ongoing with more on the way.

But the total aid arriving remains woefully insufficient, as trucks entering at all crossings are meeting only ⅓ of the daily minimum needed.

In Amizmiz, Morocco, I sat down with women who had lost family members in last year’s devastating earthquake.

Today I visited a community in Morocco just miles from the epicenter of the earthquake last September which displaced 500K people. 

The Government of Morocco, UNICEF, local organizations & USAID are working together to rebuild communities, aiming to rehabilitate 60 schools.

Ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTF) have the power to bring kids back from the brink and save lives. That’s why USAID recently committed $200M to scale RUTF production and distribution.

Today, I vetoed the Russian law. This law, in its essence and spirit, is fundamentally Russian, contradicting our constitution and all European standards. It thus represents an obstacle to our European path.

This law must be repealed!
