The news about PFAS -- toxic "forever" chemicals -- gets worse and worse. Read this piece about how exposure to them during early pregnancy can lead to obesity and heart disease. ow.ly/wK9F50TgXlh We won't give up on data collection, advocacy, and enforcement.

This week's WQM results reflect the gorgeous weather we've had! Between the Upper and Lower Potomac, there were only three sites that did not meet water quality standards for E. Coli. Make sure you get outside and enjoy the weather and the water while conditions are this good!

PFAS -- toxic "forever" chemicals -- are a huge problem. And we don't yet know how serious because testing is simply not being done. Read this compelling piece about what must be done: ow.ly/sfgv50TwcrQ

What does this perpetual rain mean to our rivers? Brent Walls, Upper Potomac Riverkeeper, is happy to report that the bump in the flow for the mainstem of the Potomac is nowhere near a concern. The summer drought has left enough capacity to absorb what rain we did get.
