Well, I've officially accepted a spot in the next Doctor of Ministry cohort at Nashotah House. So that's some excellent news in the midst of a trying week. Looking forward to spending more time at one of my very favorite places.

Thanks be to God for the gift of the Spirit, because I was positively ill with grief, exhausted, had no sermon, and was not eager to go to church. The Mass was magnificent, the people were such a gift, a sermon came to me, and I felt the true healing power of Christ at work.

Last night we passed a local beer hall so busy that cars were parked on the grass. I said to my husband, “I look forward to the day when church is so crowded that we have to have people park on the grass.” And today was that day (!)

I like working alone, but wow, I wish I had an associate to take the Mass tomorrow for “my pet died less than 24 hours ago” Sunday.

We’re taking Archimedes to the vet for the last time at 1:00 pm today. Please say a prayer.

She is the perfect cat. We love her very much.

Things not looking good for Archimedes 😓 We insisted upon at least one more night with her. Brought her home and are making her comfortable. We tried one more Hail Mary of a drug, should know by the morning if it helped anything. The price of love is grief.

Praying this evening for one of our animals to recover and for good weather on Saturday when we need to do more land clearing. Have apparently become a pioneer.

(But seriously pray for my cat 😓)

Insufferable

Look, if I started a denomination every time I was irritated at something, I’d be the head of about 7000 denominations. Solidarity, faithfulness, cooperation, humility, integrity, mutuality, & submission to the Gospel of Jesus Christ are sanctifying actions that require constancy

Guys, I brought Archimedes to the vet this afternoon (she’s been unwell 😓), and the front desk informed me that an anonymous someone has said that they will cover all our vet bills. They won’t give me any more information other than to say that our money is “no good here” 😭😭😭

Truly nothing like the adrenaline rush of waking up to the pager alarm and having a guy scream “GRAB AN AXE” in your face within the first ten minutes of consciousness. Truly cleansing.

Good morning from post brush fire St. Florian in my locker. He’s looking far more dignified than I did rolling out of bed and responding to this call in my pajamas this morning.

I relate to this sheep probably more than any other icon. happy Good Shepherd Sunday, beloveds.

Spent the day training on the ambulance while my husband and some guys from church started clearing the spot on our land where the house is going to go 🙂
