🌟 Exciting Day for Teaching as a Profession Students! 🌟 Our future educators had the amazing opportunity to attend APSU’s Aspiring Educators Event! They explored the College of Education, learned about the programs available, &enjoyed a tour of the beautiful APSU campus.

Welding toured Prevost on the Goodlettsville Industry Tour. Prevost is the leading North American manufacturer of premium passenger coaches &conversion coaches. Students saw the bare frames, shell of a coach & stepped inside the finished product that belongs to Luke Combs.

Portland High School Welding students participated in the Goodlettsville Industrial Day. They toured CMI Equipment supplier that serves TN and KY. CMI sells and services equipment necessary to keep cities, counties and road departments operating.

It’s Bus Driver Appreciation Week! 31 buses were greeted daily by our Ldrshp Team, Boys & Girls Basketball, Art Club, FCCLA & Football Team. Shoutout to our awesome transportation team! Huge thanks to Career Coach, Mrs.Utley & Instructional Coach, Ms. Cornell, coordinators!

PHS CTE students attended the Mid TN Masonry Assoc trade show at WHS. They enjoyed a brick stack board race, block laying station, laying pavers, using a MULE-robotic arm to move blocks , &witnessed the latest scaffolding technology along with a 2-ton delivery truck with moffet.

Portland High CTE was well represented at the CTSO Fall Leadership conference! Members from FCCLA, HOSA, DECA and FBLA grew as leaders while networking with other chapters.

PHS students caught a glimpse into the future when business& industry professionals visited for the Annual PHS Career Day! Career Day 2025 came full circle with 25 of the 48 speakers returning to PHS as proud alumni! Thank you to those who made this day possible for our students!

🔧🛠 Machining in Action! James Key and Garrett Hodges were on the mill, using a rotary table to machine gears for the clock their class is building. These students are showing incredible precision, focus, and teamwork as they bring this project to life! ⏱️⚙️
