Building on this unified neuro/psych training proposal, our editorial (genomicpress.kglmeridian.com/view/journals/……) introduces "Interventional Brain Medicine" as a prospective subspecialty. It builds on interventional psychiatry but expands these treatment tools to modulation of any brain network.
Yale has been approved for funding from The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to study NORSE (new-onset refractory status epilepticus). Led by myself (PI) and co-PIs Gopaul, Eschbach, & Wong, we will compare outcomes with anakinra vs tocilizumab in 33 centers internationally over 5yrs. Stay tuned for updates!
