Spent the week in McCall off of social media and it was glorious. Logged back in when I got home and immediately feel the need to log right back out. That said, Brundage Mountain was spectacular this week. 🙏. What an underrated mountain.
The The Red Clay Strays sold out Portland, OR in 14 minutes. I love the Crystal Ballroom but maybe a bigger venue for July. Their 🚀 has been fun to watch.
Yo American Aquarium, I found this at our small grocery in Central Oregon today. First I’ve seen Duke's Mayo here. It was $11.99. I’m hoping it’s great! 👍
Great thread. I’m just pissed this song exploded on the same day Jason Eady released the album of the fucking year. #Mississippi .
I saw an artist post that they were excited to play in Portland this weekend at the Jackalope Jamboree. Uhh, although they are both badass in my humble Oregonian opinion, Pendleton is a different planet compared to Portland.
Hey Official GrueneHall you got backup generators on standby for this week just in case? I guess recklesskelly acoustic wouldn’t be too bad either.
In a town that rarely gets great music, someone scheduled the The Steel Woods w/ TannerUsrey and the vandoliers w/ Jenny Don't on the same night, at the same time, at venues 50 yards apart. Fuuuuuuuck! #inbend .
Catching American Aquarium open for Sierra Ferrell on a Thursday in Phoenix is the traveling for work perk of the week.
It was great to see Slaid Cleaves and Scrappy Jud last night in Portland. I met some great folks, and what a great venue the The Old Church is. Worth the long snowy drive back over Mt. Hood.
Next week across Oregon. Jesse Daniel, Slaid Cleaves, and Gabe Lee. I’m going to put on some miles! Buckle up; probably going to snow!q
My first real beer was an Anchor Steam at bar in Morrow Bay in 1995 while playing rugby for ASU at Cal Poly. I gotta figure out a way to make this show! Such a great spot.
I really enjoy Willi Carlisle’s “Peculiar, Missouri.” The song and the album. I grabbed it on vinyl at a show last year and just opened it last week. It’s a great workday spin.
If you are headed out to the Tractor Tavern tonight to catch this show, DO NOT miss Mightmare, their “side/solo project” that opens. I didn’t expect that sound and it was awesome from the start last night in Bend.
