Went hiking near the earthquake epicenter this weekend (Cushetunk Mountain). Didn’t feel any aftershocks, but saw a lot of ephemerals - spring beauties, rue anemones, and more.

I’m about 20 miles from the epicenter. It felt akin to what I experienced when I lived in LA. Strong enough to really rumble, but not knock anything over . First thought was something was crashing from the sky but knew I wasn’t hearing anything outside.

Seeing earthquake reports from Baltimore to Boston. I first thought it was a subway train derailing. But then remembered I’m in suburban New Jersey.
