Demanding comments be judged based on one's own uncharitable interpretation, rather than what was plainly intended, is a famously popular gambit on the woke left. The term "woke right" is catching on for a reason. Exhbit A: you.

I'll concede that "meeting justice" was a bit hysterical, but "RIP" clearly referred to the people who had actually died.

As noted, you tried to make out that "RIP" was intended as a death threat. That obviously wasn't the case.

I wonder what's going on with The West Australian's front pages. Once you're past today's inflammatory, attention-seeking effort, the paper offers balanced and reasonable coverage that says nothing about Chatfield, The Chaser or any other "left-wing online activists".

The Katter's vote has fallen by more than half across six rural booths in the Hinchinbrook by-election, leaving the LNP well placed to gain the seat. I'm projecting a One Nation vote of 15.4%, compared with 4.6%, which they would need to improve on to get in contention.

My preference estimates get the LNP to 64.5% -- the ABC's are more circumspect, at 62.5%

Katter's have a vague hope in the Hinchinbrook stemming from the fact that the swing against is weaker at the Townsville end than in the rural booths that have mostly reported so far. pollbludger.net/2025/11/29/hin…
