Four teams will be making the first trip in school history to the IHSA boys basketball state tournament: rChrist the King, Dyett, Rich and St. Patick -- bringing to 446 the number of teams that have made it to state.

Meridian HC David Davis has been named HC at Paducah Tilghman. Davis went 100-43 in 4 years as HC at Meridian, winning 3 sectionals and a state runner-up. He was also a 4-year starter at Meridian, and is the programs all-time leader in wins as a player.
